TEACHER Helen Knight hit all the right notes in an Examiner competition.

And now she has won £2,000 worth of vouchers to spend at Woods music shop.

Helen, 32, who teaches in the early years unit at Nields Junior Infant and Nursery School in Slaithwaite, was the winner in our fabulous Six Days of Christmas contest.

She is pictured at Woods collecting her cash from shop employee David Courtney.

Helen, who lives in Fenay Bridge Road, Fenay Bridge, has been a teacher for nine years.

She said: "It's wonderful.

"I have no idea yet what I shall spend the money on.

"It was a spur of the moment thing to enter. I mentioned it to my partner, Mark Lightfoot, and his mum, Carol, and she collected some tokens for me."

The 10 runners-up, who each receive £50 worth of High Street shopping vouchers, were: Mrs S Ellis, from Kirkburton; Mrs Susan Stephenson, Crosland Moor; Mr T Humphreys, Milnsbridge; Derek Combs, Golcar; Mrs Angela Gledhill, New Mill; Mrs A Newsome, Fenay Bridge; Mrs A J Crossley, New Mill; Mr Keith Morrell, Lepton; Mrs S Brooks, Elland; and Mr J Brooke, Dalton.
