A COURSE for parents and voluntary workers in primary schools returns to Huddersfield next month.

The 10-week Helping in Schools, run by the Workers' Educational Association, provides an insight into how schools work and how children learn.

Courses will be held at Fixby Junior and Infant School on Lightridge Road and at Dryclough Infant School in Crosland Moor.

Both sessions are on Thursdays and will run from 9.30am to 3pm from April 21.

In addition to attending the course for one day a week, people enrolling will need to do an average of two hours a week voluntary work in their child's primary school during the course.
