PUPILS from Rawthorpe High School helped younger children from the area with music and art workshops.

After a week working together the pupils from Moldgreen, Dalton and Rawthorpe Junior Schools then joined the older children for a concert.

The pupils chose different workshops which included samba drums, dance, creative drawing, film making and mosaic work.

The nine- and 10-year-old pupils also had the chance to sample lessons at the high school.

The concert included performances from the different school bands, dances, samba drums, solo artists and the choir.

The art work was also on display.

Community manager Bridget Crabtree said: "All the children had a great time. The hall was packed full of people for the concert and everyone really enjoyed the performances."
