MORE drop-in sessions are to be held in North Kirklees to help job-seekers find work.

Joblink, part of Kirklees Council's Economic Development Service, has been running weekly drop-in sessions at Cleckheaton Health Centre from 2pm to 4pm every Friday.

The sessions have been so popular that extra ones have started at JobCentre Plus in Spenborough.

Clr Andrew Pinnock, Kirklees Council's Cabinet member with responsibility for development services, said: "Drop-in sessions have proved very successful, which is why we are increasing their frequency, to support more people back into work."

Unemployed people can just call into the centres.

The team gives advice on writing CVs, completing application forms, interview techniques and where to look for possible jobs.

The sessions are free and confidential.

Sessions are at JobCentre Plus in Spenborough every Wednesday between 10am and noon and every Thursday from 2pm to 4pm; Taleem Community Centre, Savile Town, every Monday between 1pm and 4pm; Thornhill Lees Community Centre every Friday from 9am to noon; and St Matthew's at Westtown every Friday between 1pm and 4pm.
