A-LEVEL results at Hipperholme and Lightcliffe High School have been bettered for the fifth successive year.

Almost 30% of the school’s grades were A* to B.

Among those celebrating was Jack Nove, who achieved AAB and is now going to Manchester University to study English language.

Nicole Ackroyd’s ABB grades have allowed her to study biochemistry at Sheffield University.

The school’s highest points scorer, Emily Rastrick, will study a course in chemistry with forensic science at Surrey University.
