For many the TV advert signals the start of the festive season.

And people were certainly feeling Chrismassy when the Coca-Cola truck came to town.

The illuminated truck became a global advertising icon when it first featured in a TV advert in 1995.

Now the truck makes pit stops in towns around the country to get people feeling festive – and sipping Coca-Cola.

People queued up to have their picture taken with the truck as a Coca-Cola choir sang Christmas songs.

Among those at the event were Ronnie Benson and two-year-old daughter Emily from Fartown.

Ronnie said: “I’d just dropped my wife off at work and saw it parked up so had to come along.

“It’s the first Christmas Emily is really aware of so we’re doing lots of Christmas things with her.”

Huddersfield was one of 52 spots the truck is visiting as part of a nationwide tour, which runs until December 23.
