YOUNG and old enjoyed a ceilidh to raise funds for Holme Valley Mountain Rescue.
Supporters together with team members enjoyed dancing to music provided by Citizens’ Band, which included team members Andy Valentine and Owen Phillips in the Parochial Hall, Marsden.
A raffle and sop supper boosted the amount raised on the night to around £500.
During the interval team treasurer Tony Burrie surprised two team members by presenting them with Long Service certificates.
Andy Valentine, of Jackson Bridge, has completed 25 years’ service with the team while George Healey, of Thongsbridge, has attained 20 years.
