Volunteers from the Holme Valley Mountain Rescue Team joined a weekend search for a missing man.

They spent several hours searching woodland in the Tong area of Bradford on Saturday before the man was found safe and well.

There were 17 Holme Valley volunteers involved in the search.

Team spokesman, David Honour, said: “This call out demonstrates how closely we work with our neighbouring Mountain Rescue teams.

"We often work with Calder Valley SRT, Oldham Mountain Rescue Team and Woodhead Mountain Rescue Team, providing mutual support when extra resources are required.

"All teams are fully interoperable, meaning that in large scale searches many different teams can work together to support the police.”
