PUPILS at Holmfirth High strutted their stuff on the catwalk – and they raised more than £700 for the school too.

They organised a fashion show and took to the stage in designs by a host of local companies and fashion designers.

Head of year nine and science teacher Davinia Surdival said: “They had such a good time, it’s always great to do something different and capture their imaginations – they loved it.”

The Holmfirth school joined forces with Kevan Jon and Jacks sportswear. Funds raised at the event will go towards next year’s school trip to Peru, where year nine and 10 pupils will have the experience of a lifetime.

The fashion show was one of many events being organised to support the trip and wider school activities.
