A LIGHTNING strike left hundreds of homes without power yesterday.
About 385 houses at Birdsedge, Upper Cumberworth and parts of Shepley and Denby Dale lost their electricity at 12.36pm.
Power was restored at 2.48am this morning following extensive repairs.
In a second cut, 56 houses lost power in Kirkburton.
That incident, caused by a cable fault, began at 12.30pm and was restored at 9.30pm.
