HOUSE-to-house enquiries were continuing today following the murder of a man in Huddersfield.

Police are hunting the gunman who killed a 28-year-old man and injured a 26-year-old in a targeted shooting on Brook Street in Thornton Lodge in the early hours of Friday.

Central to their investigation is a black Audi Q7 recovered in Manor Street, Newsome.

It is believed the two victims were in the car when they were shot at 3.50am.

Roads surrounding Brook Street were sealed off on Friday as forensic experts combed the area for clues.

Residents were being questioned as detectives looked for a breakthrough.

A postmortem was due to be carried out today to confirm the cause of the 28-year-old's death.
