A COUNCIL housing office is to shut from November 17 in a six-month experiment, it has been confirmed.
Housing officials said they wanted to try out new ways of delivering services to tenants.
People who have used the Honley office are being urged to make contact by phone or ask for a home visit.
A spokesman for Kirklees Neighbourhood Housing, which manages council properties, said: "Staff will spend more time improving accessibility to, and the quality of, those services that most affect tenants such as letting homes, estate caretaking and repairs inspections."
Almondbury and Dalton offices will remain open for tenants who prefer to go to a housing office.
The spokesman said the new approach would be monitored.
