Health chiefs want you to have your say on a hospital shake-up that could see the closure of Huddersfield's A&E department.

The public consultation on the Right Care, Right Time, Right Place proposals begins today — and it's important everyone affected takes part.

Under the plans, emergency care would be transferred to Calderdale Royal Hospital, and Huddersfield Royal Infirmary demolished and replaced with a smaller hospital.

The consultation will run for 14 weeks, up to midnight on Tuesday June 21.

On the Right Care Right Time Right Place website, you an read the full consultation document and about the proposed changes.

You can then fill in an online consultation survey to share your views and ideas.

On the website, it says: "We strongly encourage you to read the main consultation document before completing the survey.

"You may also want to attend one of our events during the consultation to find out more before responding."
