The chief executive of the trust which runs HRI and Calderdale Royal has praised staff for a good performance in testing times.

And Calderdale and Huddersfield Foundation Trust (CHFT) boss Owen Williams told patients they could be confident of receiving good care.

Mr Williams said: “More than 70% of our services received a good rating from the CQC inspectors .

“They also highlighted some areas of outstanding practice and gave special mention to our staff who spoke with pride and passion about working for the trust.

“There were no scores of inadequate and no immediate compliance actions.

“It is good that our patients can be confident that they will receive good care when they need our help.

“It’s also great that the hard work and dedication of our staff and volunteers has been recognised by the CQC.

“Alongside the important work of improvement we will continue to deliver in the areas reported as outstanding and good which make such a difference to the people we serve.”
