A MAN has appeared in court charged in connection with a string of con attempts in Huddersfield.
Omar Arshad, 33, went before magistrates in Dewsbury charged with five counts of fraud by false representation.
The charges relate to a series of incidents in the Marsh, Paddock and Edgerton areas.
A number of people were allegedly conned into handing over money by a man claiming to have lost a member of his family and asking for help to get to Manchester.
Mr Arshad, of Spire Court, Marsh, was remanded to appear at Bradford Crown Court on June 1.
