The Brackenhall-based hospice has been announced as the official charity partners of the Giants for the 2015 Super League season.
As part of the partnership, the Giants’ junior shirts will display Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice’s logo and a number of further opportunities including advertising space, match day entertainment and joint fundraising initiatives are already being discussed.
Peter Branson, chief executive at the hospice said: “We are truly delighted to be supported by the Huddersfield Giants; their brand values of supporting the local community and particularly supporting local children fits perfectly with our charity.
“We must raise £3.2m every year to run our charity and thanks to the support of the Giants we will be able to significantly raise our awareness across Huddersfield, West Yorkshire and even further afield.”
Giants marketing and media manager James Brammer said: “The Huddersfield Giants are delighted to be linking up with Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice as Official Charity Partner.
“There is great excitement about the relationship and we are looking forward to announcing shortly a number of events and initiatives for our supporters.”
