AUTHOR DAVID Nobbs is among top-flight writers attending this year’s Huddersfield Literature Festival.
The festival, which runs between March 16 and 20, has also attracted best-selling and multi-award winning authors such as David Peace, Simon Armitage, AL Kennedy, Melvin Burgess, and Anne Fine.Š
Festival patrons Lemn Sissay and Sir Patrick Stewart say they are excited to see such a varied programme, which puts writers in the spotlight and includes unique events such as book launches, film premières, workshops, singing and comedy.
The theme this year is ‘adaptation’ and organisers are delighted to announce a première of a specially commissioned film adaptation of one of Simon Armitage’s poems from his new TS Eliot shortlisted collection, Seeing Stars. Š
A specially commissioned film and song adaptations will also be featured throughout the festival.
