A MAN accused of violence and receiving stolen goods has appeared in court.

Connor Mulvey, 22, was before Huddersfield magistrates yesterday.

He appeared via a video link from Leeds Prison. Mulvey, of Devonshire Street in Lockwood, is accused of assaulting Daniel Riley on June 16.

He is also charged with having a knife in a public place at Huddersfield police station on Castlegate.

On the same date he is accused of using or threatening unlawful violence. He is further charged with three counts of receiving stolen goods, dating between August 12 and September 4.

In Dewsbury he is alleged to have handled an Apple Mac laptop and two Garmin sat navs. Mulvey faces a further charge of failing to surrender at Dewsbury police station while on bail in criminal proceedings.

He denies the allegations. His case was adjourned until October 20 when he will be committed to crown court for trial.
