A man was left with serious injuries after being assaulted by two men with a pitbull type dog in Paddock.

Huddersfield detectives are hunting two Asian men who are believed to have beaten up a 29-year-old man.

The victim suffered severe facial injuries which needed hospital treatment.

Police would like to speak to anyone who has information about the incident, which took place at about 6.40am on waste ground near Victory Road in Paddock on Sunday, September 28.

The suspects were described as Asian men in their mid 20s and of medium build. They are believed to have left the scene in a five door hatchback, possibly an Audi or Vauxhall.

Det Con Shaun Lewis, of Huddersfield CID, said: “I would appeal to anyone who has information about the offence or can help officers trace the vehicle believed to be involved to contact Huddersfield CID on 101 or Crime Stoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
