A HUDDERSFIELD man has been jailed – for terrorising a witness.
Norris Miller, of Thornton Lodge, was locked up for five years after a trial at Leeds Crown Court.
Miller, 46, of Moorbottom Road, had denied three charges of witness intimidation, but was found guilty.
He was sentenced to a total of five years.
The court heard how Miller was arrested in January 2012 after allegations that he assaulted a woman in Huddersfield.
He was bailed by police pending further inquiries, but was then said to have started a campaign of making abusive threats and sending text messages to the woman which left her terrified.
He was re-arrested but failed to turn up at court last July.
