Easter dedication for local churches
REPRESENTATIVES from 18 of the 21 churches in the new Huddersfield Circuit of the Methodist Church in Huddersfield met for worship at the Huddersfield Methodist Mission to dedicate their Easter Offering envelopes. The official service will be used by groups throughout the country when Methodist Women in Britain meet in their local groups. This was the first event organised by the new Huddersfield Circuit committee and the office holders were introduced to the congregation during the service. They are chairman Lesley Baxter from Linthwaite, secretary Jean Brook from Outlane and treasurer Sandra Carson from Gledholt Methodist Churches. Brenda Whitfield from Dalton St Paul’s was the leader and members from different churches took part with refreshments provided by the mission. The Easter Offering goes towards the worldwide missionary work of the Methodist Church.
