SEVEN men have appeared in court in connection with a brawl outside a Huddersfield nightclub.

The men are alleged to have tried to force their way into the Flying Circus club in Cross Church Street after being refused entry by door staff on January 15 this year.

Two men, Wilfred Moses and Richard Dyson, thought to be the doormen, were injured during the fracas.

At Leeds Crown Court yesterday all seven defendants pleaded not guilty to affray.

They are: Kitson Pusey of Revive Court, Fartown; Waqas Raza of Park Road, Crosland Moor; Hashim Rehman of Haworth Road, Bradford; Vesmir Duric of Aquamarine Drive, Fartown; Abdullah Aka of Woodman Avenue, Bradley, Luke Auker of Chellow Grange Road, Bradford and Joel Bryce of Coniston Avenue, Dalton.

Bryce is also charged with two counts of wounding with intent and two counts of unlawful wounding against the two men.

He denies all four charges.

The defendants were released on bail on condition that they do not contact the complainants. A trial will be held at Leeds Crown Court on January 21.
