A TEENAGER from Huddersfield was arrested as he tried to intervene in an arrest.

Rastrick police were patrolling the Carr Green Lane last Saturday when they found a large group of youths with alcohol.

As they seized it a Halifax boy, aged 16, blocked the police officer’s path and became verbally abusive.

As he was arrested for being drunk and disorderly, the Huddersfield boy began to swear at the officers and tried to stop the arrest.

Both boys were arrested and issued with £80 Penalty Notices for Disorder.
