SUPPORTER Les Fields has helped Town reach a fundraising landmark.

He has become the club’s 100th Knight of Yorkshire to raise funds for the Keep It Up campaign – but the quest for champions will continue!

Les became the 100th person to sign up and pledge to raise £1,000 for the campaign during the 2010/11 season, which will be split equally between the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and the Huddersfield Town Academy.

Originally from Kirkheaton, Les now lives in Robin Hood, near Lofthouse, with his fiancée Julie and works for West Yorkshire Police in the Wakefield District Division. He has been a Town fan all his life and often comes to games with his son Joe who is 14.

“In the 43 years of supporting Town there have been few chances to really help the club financially. Now things are different; the current ownership and board really encourage ordinary fans to get involved.

“I have been a member of the Blue & White Foundation in the past and I think projects such as the Keep It Up campaign allow the fans to get involved”.

Several Knights have reached their £1,000 target and many others that are well on their way. Fundraising events have included leg waxes, sponsored runs, walks, concerts, craft making and T-shirt selling.

Sean Jarvis, commercial director of Town said: “It is fantastic to hear all the fundraising stories and I am really pleased we have hit our target of 100 Knights.

“We’re not finished yet and I would encourage anyone considering becoming a Knight of Yorkshire to do so”.
