Below are your comments about the game.

Joe, Cleckheaton

We can play good spells of football but our style isn’t meant for Wells and, although Ward can play well, he is a play maker, NOT a finisher. Only good outcome was Lolley’s performance. Ward out Lolley in.

William, Huddersfield

We weren’t quite at it but still had enough opportunities to hurt SW. Stick together and put it right on Saturday!

Anon, Huddersfield

I posted my concerns last weekend (unpublished) regarding the Jeckyll and Hyde performances of our three midfielders, particularly our two goalscorers, which has continued in this game, and the fact that there has not been anyone on the bench to push them out of their complacency. I watch the runaway leaders in the Academy and Development games quite frequently and I am convinced that there are several midfielders who AT LEAST deserve a place on the bench. I think MR is our best manager for some time but like some previous others he seems afraid to introduce some competition for places by introducing some of our talented youngsters. Like JS, who I think was badly treated, his comments regarding Lolley seem to be paving the way for him also not even appearing on the bench in the future. MR also says he has no place for sentimentality but he continues with DW and brings in PC who turns our previously reasonable defenders into nervous wrecks.

Wojek, Britannia Rescue

Very very poor. Ponderous and predictable. Need more physicality, athleticism and creativity, ie a dominant centre half, dominant centre mid and quality target man. We’ve been found out.

LTS, Mirfield

Another very poor home performance. Passing from the back for us doesn’t work. Clarke back in middle of defence brings back the same old problems. Service to Wells not what he needs so we get the best from him. Lolley showed flashes of what we can expect once he is up to correct fitness level

Terry, Lincoln

A dreadful performance against a poor team. 70% possession is no good if 75% of that possession is in our own half and we have defenders who can’t pass. Why do we persist with a back three? No successful team plays that system. We have signed strikers who can’t score but we need defenders who can defend. Gerard was abysmal and Clarke not much better. Our movement and passing was awful and we are very slow in moving the ball forward.
