A STUDENT who plunged 25ft from a balcony at Huddersfield University is still in hospital six weeks after his fall.

The young man suffered serious multiple injuries in the incident on October 16.

He was badly hurt when he crashed to the ground floor from a second-floor balcony in the atrium of the Creative Arts Building on the Queensgate campus.

He is said to be stable and improving in Leeds General Infirmary.

He has not been named.
