A FAMILY starring in Ant and Dec’s Push the Button have ended their winning streak.

The Simpsons, from Huddersfield, had been the ITV show’s reigning champions for four weeks.

But the McCrystals, a team of sisters from Weymouth, sent them packing from the competition on Saturday evening after beating them in the final round.

The Simpsons went home with the £69,499 they had accumulated during their lengthy stint on the Saturday night game show

Their team mentor Declan Donnelly – who hosts the show with Anthony McPartlin – told them that they had been ‘brilliant’ contestants.

Team Simpson were rocked shortly after their first appearance on the show when Morris Simpson, a Sheepridge community worker, withdrew from the competition after it was revealed that he had been quizzed over an alleged sexual assault. He denies the allegation.

His younger brother Dillian replaced him on the show, while brother Tshan took over as team captain.

Morris’ fiance Lisa Ayre and Dillian's girlfriend Melissa McKenzie completed the team lineup.

Saturday’s show saw the two teams compete for cash in a series of challenges.

Team Simpson got off to a promising start when Melissa won the first round to guess what animals were in boxes.

But they came unstuck in other challenges, including one to learn how to be a TV chef and present a cookery item live on This Morning.

Lisa lost the round after hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby said she came across as a little nervous on screen.
