WE’RE back in the very heart of Huddersfield!

The Examiner returned to the town centre yesterday when we opened an office in John William Street, overlooking St George’s Square.

And there was a warm welcome from staff at the new public office, which marks a return to the centre, after previous offices in Ramsden Street and Market Street.

The office will be open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, for customers to place advertisements, buy Examiner photos and book excursions and holidays.

There is also a “hotline” so that callers can contact the rest of the newspaper staff, including the editorial and advertising departments, who have moved from their Queen Street South offices to the Pennine Business Park at Bradley.

The Queen Street South offices, which have been home to the Examiner since 1990, have been sold to the University of Huddersfield.
