DOZENS of firefighters tackled a huge blaze at a firm.
Flames were spotted on an industrial estate next to the retail park and Showcase Cinema, near the M62 at Junction 27 in Birstall, at 8pm yesterday.
Batley firefighters were first at Showcase Pallets, off Bank Wood Way, and immediately called for back-up.
A fire service spokes- man said: "It was a huge fire and took around eight crews more than two hours to control.
"The fire spread to a single-storey building and damaged it."
Crews were at the scene until early this morning.
The cause of the blaze is being investigated.
