Pupils and teachers from Hyrstmount Junior School, Batley, travelled to the British Film Institute (BFI) on the Southbank, London, to collect the equivalent of a film school Oscar.

The youngsters won the Grand Prize for Outstanding Film in the six to 12-year-old category of the Kids UK Film Festival 2012.

A panel of professionals voted their animated film, Habitat, the best in Britain.

The short documentary about British wildlife was created with filmmakers Fabric Lenny and Yvonne Roberts from Big Voice Media.
