A BURGLARY victim has made the thief an unusual offer ... "bring my vac back or come back for the bit you need!"
The sneak stole the yellow Dyson vacuum cleaner after getting into Margaret Sutcliffe's Edgerton home while she was away.
He stole the cleaner but left behind a vital attachment ... which he will need to make it work properly.
Religious Mrs Sutcliffe, a Christadelphian, said: "He may as well have the rest of the cleaner so it will work properly.
"I'll leave it on the doorstep for him.
"This may just give him a moral dilemma and he may even decide to bring the vacuum cleaner back and leave it for me.
"The bottom line is it's no use as it now is to either of us."
Mrs Sutcliffe, of Imperial Road, was in North Yorkshire on a Bible campaign when the thief struck.
Her husband, David, died in May.
Mrs Sutcliffe added: "I'd had an old vacuum cleaner I'd used for decades.
"If I still had that, the thief would probably have turned his nose up at it.
"I only bought the top-of-the-range Dyson earlier this year."
