A HUDDERSFIELD bar is looking for two different kinds of Des Driver.
Both are wanted by Chicago Rock Café in the town centre.
The first is anyone who volunteers not to drink alcohol so that they can ferry guests to and from the bar.
This person is a `designated driver' and will get free Britvic soft drinks all night long.
But as well as launching its campaign to help curb drink-driving over Christmas and New Year, the bar is now looking for someone who is actually called Des Driver.
And if anyone does have that name they will scoop a Christmas meal for four at the Café.
Steve Cropper, the national brand manager for Luminar Leisure's Chicago Rock Café, said it was important for large entertainment firms to support the national `I'll Be Des' campaign.
He said: "We are very proud supporters of the campaign and are hoping this idea will gain further publicity for what is a very important issue.
"In this instance we have opted to do something that is quite light- hearted and fun in the hope it can help deliver what is a very serious message.
"What we have seen in the past is groups of friends nominating a different Des on different nights so they share the responsibility."
The real Des Driver - Desmond, Derek, or Desdemona even - should call 07000 2442246 to gain a meal for four. The offer ends on January 2.
