RSPCA inspectors are following up leads about a tiny horse which was tied to a lamppost and left to die.
The Falabella horse had to be put down such was the extent of its neglect.
RSPCA inspector John Atkinson said he was making inq- uiries into calls he had received about the horse which was abandoned at Rowley Lane, Lepton.
He said: "If anyone else has any information about this horse or any other injured horses please call the RSPCA on 08705 555999 and leave a message for me with your name, telephone number and a suitable time to contact you."
