Budding David Baileys are wanted to capture the beauty of an historic hall and country park.

A Summer at Oakwell competition is open to amateur photographers of all ages.

The Friends group at Oakwell Hall, an Elizabethan manor house in Birstall, is organising the competition.

Entrants can submit up to three printed photographs in colour or black and white no bigger than A4 size.

Entries will be accepted until Friday, September 16, at 5pm. Photographs should be handed in at Oakwell Hall or at the Visitor Information Centre shop where full details and guidance notes on the competition can also be obtained.

Red House Museum battling to stay open with programme of fun summer events for children

The prizes are two tickets for an Oakwell At Night event in November, afternoon tea for two at the Oak Tree Cafe at Oakwell Hall Country Park, and a year’s membership of Friends of Oakwell Hall including free entry to the hall for 12 months.

The winning entries will be exhibited in the Oak Tree Cafe.
