A CYCLE ride is taking place to introduce people to two wheels.

May’s Easy Riders cycle ride is a chance for people to find out more about cycling in Kirklees and how they can get more involved in practical activity, campaigning or riding for health and leisure.

Easy Riders is a monthly ride for people new to cycling.

The ride, on Saturday May 1, will start at 10am from outside Huddersfield Railway Station.

Joining the ride leaders – Kirklees Countryside Access Officer John Gleadow and members of Huddersfield and District Cycle Touring Club – will be members of the Kirklees Bicycle User Group and the Kirklees Group of Sustrans Volunteer Rangers.

The ride will be to Crow Nest Park, Dewsbury, using the Birkby/Bradley, Calder Valley and Spen Valley Greenways.

Cyclists will also be able to join the ride at the bottom of the access road at Mirfield Railway Station at 10.45am.
