FOUR Huddersfield schools have signed up to take part in a record-breaking attempt for a mass sing.

Kirkburton Middle School, Rosemeade School at Almondbury, Marsden Junior School and Stile Common Infant School at Newsome are all taking part in the World's Biggest Sing.

The aim is to get one million children singing simultaneously.

Last year 83,637 from more than 1,100 schools across England and the Republic of Ireland helped raise £42,000 for the charity Sargeant Cancer Care for Children.

The aim this year is to smash that record and raise £100,000.

Nearby schools are encouraged to join those which are taking part.

Schools need to register by calling 0800 0852010.
