BUS operator Arriva Yorkshire is changing its day tickets to help passengers understand the price range.

The firm is updating its ticket range to improve clarity and consistency, making it easier for customers to see that they get the best value ticket.

The new tickets will be introduced on Monday, to replace the existing Value ticket range.

A spokeswoman said: "We wanted to simplify the range, and by renaming them by the areas they cover we believe we have achieved this."

The new tickets are:

Arriva Day Ticket Yorkshire zone, which replaces the Value Yorkshire ticket. It gives unlimited travel on all Arriva Yorkshire buses, except in the Dales.

Arriva Day Ticket West Yorkshire zone will replace Value West Yorkshire ticket. It gives unlimited travel on Arriva Yorkshire buses within the West Yorkshire zone.

Arriva Day Ticket North Kirklees zone replaces the Value North Kirklees ticket and allows you unlimited travel on Arriva Yorkshire buses in North Kirklees.

New Arriva Day Tickets will also replace Value tickets in Wakefield, Leeds, Castleford, North Yorkshire (including Goole) and Selby.

All allow unlimited travel on Arriva Yorkshire buses.

Tickets can be bought from the driver and are valid for the entire day, except Leeds off-peak, which is only available after 9.30am.
