AN ENERGY-ADVISING organisation is expanding its workforce.

Yorkshire Energy Saving Trust – based in Huddersfield – has appointed a new chairman.

Former Kirklees councillor David Payne, above, has taken-up the role after years as a non-executive board member.

Kirklees Council’s head of environment unit Dr Phil Webber has also joined the board as a non-executive director.

The Trust’s subsidiary company YES Renewables – specialising in the installation of solar systems – has appointed a managing director.

Mike Dyson, former managing director of Miller Pattison Insulation, has been recruited.

Chief executive William Edrich said “It is an exciting time for Yorkshire Energy Services.

“We have grown quickly over the last couple of years and helped thousands of households to reduce their carbon footprints as well as their energy bills.

“These appointments complement our recent expansion as well as strengthen the board, helping it to guide the company successfully through the next few years.

Yorkshire Energy Services operates throughout the region advising people about low carbon emissions through insulation, heating systems, advice and renewable energy.
