HUDDERSFIELD Town manager Peter Jackson is putting a side together for a charity soccer match.

He is patron of the charity The West Yorkshire Forget Me Not Trust, which is raising cash to build a children's hospice in Kirklees or Calderdale.

Jackson is putting together a team to play the match against a team of warders from Wakefield Prison.

The game will be at Liversedge Football Club on Quaker Lane on Sunday, September 28. Kick-off will be 2pm.

The trust was set up by Ainley Top mother Linda Senior.

Jackson said: "Linda asked me a while ago if I would like to become the patron.

"It's a great honour and I'm anxious to help the charity as much as I can."

Jackson is still finalising his team, but coach Terry Yorath - a former Welsh international midfielder - has already been pencilled in.

Tickets to see the game cost £2.50 in advance or £3 on the day.

They are available from Ms Senior on 0788 7883 554 or e-mail at linda@forgetmenottrust.co.uk
