A FLAVOUR of Jamaica is promised by organisers of Black History Month events in Huddersfield next week.

A Jamaican cultural evening will be held on Sunday, October 15, at the Hudawi Centre on Great Northern Street.

Organiser Johnny Flowers says the event starts at 6.30pm and will feature music, dance, poetry and song, as well as Jamaican food and drink.

True Colours Gospel Choir and the Shabach Choir will provide entertainment, along with singer Lazarus Mann, comedian Ping Wing and dancer Bly Richards.
