VODKA Martinis, shaken not stirred, will greet visitors to a charity fundraising James Bond Ball later this month.

The event at Bowers Mill, Barkisland is raising money for Kirkwood Hospice.

And there will be plenty of surprises including the man himself - Bond, James Bond - alias Paul Goodall, managing director of Mirfield firm Interface Fabrics, which is sponsoring the event.

The ball on November 29, is a black tie event, although those wanting to add their own James Bond style to the night are welcome to do so.

Reception singer Natalie will be providing songs from the films and there will be further music from duo Double Trouble.

Those attending will also be able to play in one of Mr Bond's favourite haunts, the Casino Royale.

About 200 people are expected for the evening and tickets are still available priced at £40 each.

Anyone wanting more information should contact Joanne Gledhill in the hospice's fundraising department on 01484 557911.
