A NEW office development which could create up to 300 jobs is being built in Huddersfield.

Cheshire-based Gladman Developments is building Cartwright Court at Bradley Business Park, Bradley.

The development will provide 14 units ranging in size from 330sq ft to 2,757sq ft and aimed at start-up businesses and fast-growing firms.

The largest building is aimed at a larger company seeking regional offices.

Gladman said the development - which will be due for completion in August - would be able to accommodate up to 300 workers when it is completed.

Flexible letting arrangements will allow tenants to take up more space as they grow.

The 40,000sq ft development will also include "generous" car parking and landscaped grounds.

The development is being marketed by property agents Eddisons in Huddersfield and the Leeds office of Knight Frank.

Jason Metcalfe, of Eddisons, said: "Demand for new offices in the area is exceptionally high. The quality, location and flexible letting terms of the smaller office suites at Cartwright Court have combined to further enhance this huge demand.

"We're receiving a stream of enquiries from a variety of businesses interested in the smaller suites and we are already in serious negotiation with a number of parties."

Gladman Developments, based at Congleton, specialises in developing office sites, industrial units and care homes.
