JOB losses and store closures are on the cards following the sale of troubled retailer Tiny Computers.

Tiny - which went into administration this week - has been bought by rival Time.

Burnley-based Time said the number of Tiny stores would be reduced from 290 to about 150.

The stores would operate under the new name of Computer World.

Time said redundancies would be "inevitable" but would not say how many jobs would go.

Time bought the business and certain assets of Surrey-based Tiny after parent company OT Computers called in administrators, amid rising losses and plunging sales.
