A JOINER has been fined after police found bags of drugs in his car.

Curt Gorog, 24, was before Huddersfield magistrates yesterday.

Magistrates were told that on June 26 at Springfield Terrace, in Emley, officers searched Gorog’s home and car.

In the vehicle they found a package containing 14 bags of 1/8ths of an ounce of cannabis, a class B drug.

Gorog, of Saxton Place, Bradley, admitted the offence and told police that the drugs were for his own use.

Magistrates ordered him to pay a fine, victim surcharge and court costs totalling £280.

They also ordered the forfeiture and destruction of the drugs.
