A TRIP on the London Eye and tea at the Ritz helped a Kirkburton woman to celebrate her birthday.
Kathleen Haigh - who delivered more than 800 babies as a local midwife - also visited Harrods as part of the birthday treat from her great-niece, Rachel Mason.
Mrs Haigh received a book, The Palace of Knightsbridge, from Harrods owner Mohammed Al Fayed's personal secretary, and signed by him.
Her tea at the Ritz included a rendition of Happy Birthday to You by the pianist and a birthday cake.
During her career in the Kirkburton area "Nurse Haigh" delivered more than 800 babies.
Mrs Haigh celebrates her 90th birthday on July 19.
She will mark it with a party for family and friends at The Fountain, Ingbirchworth, near Penistone.
