A Kirkheaton dancer has won a place to compete at Blackpool’s prestigious Winter Gardens.

Eloise Gledhill, 15 - who started dancing when she was just three-years-old - will compete at the final of Miss Dance of Great Britain after beating hopefuls in regional heats.

The talented King James’ High School pupil would love to pursue a career in dance and hopes to give an outstanding performance for judges with her routine.

Eloise attends the Adele Taylor School of Dance in Huddersfield and juggles dancing five times a week with studying for her GCSEs.

She has already secured several awards including six special commendaitons for The IDTA Theatre Awards in Manchester last month.

She hopes to go to Greenhead College in September and after this intends to audition at London-based dance colleges.

Eloise will compete at the Miss Dance Great Britain competition on June 8.
