A campaign group will protest against proposals to expand Leeds Bradford Airport today (July 15).

Members of Kirklees Campaign against Climate Change will lobby Leeds City councillors outside the Civic Hall at 12.30pm to urge them not to support plans to release 36.2 hectares of greenbelt land in and near to the airport.

This would allow for the expansion of the passenger terminal building and the development of an airport village, including a hotel, restaurant and shops, as well as leading to new flight destinations being introduced.
