Aspiring entrepreneurs from Kirklees College visited London’s Freemasons’ Hall to celebrate graduating from the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy.

They joined young people from colleges across the country at the prestigious venue for an afternoon ceremony with Peter Jones CBE, whose charity, the Peter Jones Foundation, runs the academy.

All students collected scrolls from the Dragons’ Den star and the Duke of York Prince Andrew, who is patron of the Peter Jones Foundation.

Kirklees College student Arun Kumar, from Meltham, was named National Level 3 Student of the Year while college head of enterprise Lydia Butterworth received the accolade of Business Enterprise Manager of the Year.

Judges said Arun was selected for ‘demonstrating the key entrepreneurial qualities the courses aim to achieve’.
