There's a bit of confusion over what's happening with your bins.

Collection dates were changed in September . Kirklees decided to stick with the timetable over Christmas and New Year, but some collection days fell on Bank Holidays.

It's led to confusion with a lot of people tweeting Kirklees Council to find out what's happening.

1. If your grey bin was last collected on Wednesday December 23, your next collection is on Wednesday January 13.

2. Grey bin collections DID NOT take place on Christmas Eve - they were rescheduled for December 29.

If your bin was due to be emptied on Christmas Eve, Kirklees Council should have come back last Tuesday.

4. If your collection has been missed, leave your bin out until the end of the following day before reporting it to Kirklees as a missed collection, which you can do here.

5. Is your bin overflowing? Kirklees will take additional bags until January 14.
