A FAMILY liaison officer is supporting relatives of missing Cowlersley man Geoff Bottomley.

West Yorkshire Police offered the support as Mr Bottomley’s relatives yesterday marked four weeks of uncertainty.

Mr Bottomley, 71, has not been seen since going out for a walk near the resort village of Wengen in Switzerland on June 14.

The investigation into his disappearance lies with Swiss authorities working with the Foreign Office.

A police spokesman said: “We can confirm that a Family Liaison Officer from Kirklees Police has been assigned to the family of Mr Bottomley to help provide them with support and advice during this difficult time.”

An air and foot search has failed to find any trace of the talented musician.
